Mr Brassey will manage and coordinate sales efforts in Queensland and liaise with architects, designers and builders to increase the status of Alucobond and Terracade in the local market.
He brings a wealth of experience to the recently vacated role, having worked in the specialist product supply to the building and construction industry for some 30 years.
Prior to joining Alucobond Architectural, Mr Brassey served in a sales and specification role with GWA Door & Access Systems, specialising in architectural door hardware, electronic access control products and specialist sliding door systems for architects, developers and builders.
Mr Brassey said he looked forward to the challenge of furthering sales growth of Alucobond aluminum composite material and the Terracade terracotta facade system in his home state.
“Undoubtedly the biggest challenge of my new role is the proliferation of “me too” products that can only compete on the price ticket. The solution is education and I look forward to showing architects and designers just how much they can achieve with our products,” said Mr Brassey.
Mark Bradfield, Business Manager, Alucobond Architectural said Mr Brassey would be a welcome addition to the Alucobond Architectural team.
“Michael has extensive experience in the building and architectural specification industry and, with his strong knowledge of the local market, I’ve no doubt he will be a valuable asset in ensuring we further increase our sales and status in Queensland,” said Mr Bradfield.
