Alucobond Architectural

Alucobond Architectural, a privately opwned Australian business was established in 1976 as a division of Space Display Systems, the local manufacturer of the Octanorm Exhibition System. Since its inception it has been the exclusive local distributor of Alucobond and Dibond aluminium composite material manufactured by Alcan Composites.

In August 2007, Alucobond Architectural was acquired by Halifax Vogel Group (HVG). HVG is a privately owned Australian company that imports and distributes graphics media, industrial fabrics, decorative building products and exhibition systems throughout Australasia. Formed in 1994 and with a history that dates back to the 1950s, HVG has gone from strength to strength and sustained continued growth in size and scope to handle new products and services. In August 2007 HVG acquired Alucobond Architectural and Octanorm Australia (est. early 1970s).

HVG distributes a vast selection of applications across multiple sectors including building, high pressure laminates, decorative and architectural panel products; engineered stone; industrial and marine fabrics; stationery materials; graphics, digital media and display materials; and aluminium exhibition and shopfitting display systems. HVG comprises more than 150 staff located over 26,000 square metres of warehouse and office space in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland and Bangkok.

 

Alcan Composites

As the manufacturer of the products distributed by Alucobond Architectural, Alcan Composites is a part of the industrial group Alcan Engineered Products within Rio Tinto Alcan.

 
Alcan Composites, an innovative industrial sector operating world-wide, produces and sells aluminium composite materials, structural core materials, light-weight and plastic panels made of different materials.


At the location in Singen, Alcan Composites produces the aluminium composite panels ALUCOBOND®, ALUCORE® and DIBOND® for the Architecture and Corporate Design markets, the Transport and Industry markets and the Display markets.


Alcan Singen GmbH is one of the largest locations within the global, affiliated ALCAN INC Group. The positive properties of this yet still 'young' metal, aluminium, have already been implemented in Singen since 1912 by developing new technologies and applications. Since then, this location has not only influenced the German market for aluminium with its many innovative products, but also the world market.


Today, Alcan Singen develops, produces and sells rolled products, extruded products, composite panels, components and systems.
